Hi, I’m Sharon, I’m a portrait photographer, creating authentic and natural images. I also dabble in other areas of photography too, such as nature, architecture and personal branding for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

I have been passionate about creating and developing images all my life, and have completed courses at school and college, leading onto graduating with a Bachelors degree in “Photography in the Arts”, which I studied at Swansea Institute of Higher Education. Over the years I have photographed many friends, family and acquaintances and am a photographer at our local karate club, Nishikan Martial Arts. In 2015 Sharon & James Photography was created with the ambition to share our work and create original and treasured images.

I live in Wincanton with James, my fiancé, my three children and two cats. I suffer from chronic illnesses and have had to adapt and change many aspects of my life. I continue to photograph taking a slower, relaxed and informal approach, while still achieving professional and authentic images. I have a dream to one day own a narrowboat and cruise the canals with my family and camera.

Hello there my name is James and I am the other half of Sharon & James Photography. My first experience with photography was as a small boy when I picked up my dads Kodak film camera and began taking random images around the house and from that moment I was hooked. A short time later I entered my first local photography competition in my home town of Milborne Port and won the youth class with an image I took of Tarr Steps in the UK, Ever since then I have just been practicing and developing my style.

I have been through a few phases of photography ranging from Landscape to Portrait and various styles in between but have found a very happy home in Fine Art which is now my main and almost sole style of photography. I can think of nothing better than knowing my artwork is hanging on the walls of people homes bringing them happiness and joy. A life aim of mine would be to have a published Fine Art photobook in stores across the UK and who knows, maybe even internationally. But that is definitely something I will have to work towards over the years as I build my portfolio of images.
